Dit nummer is een eerder, niet uitgebrachte versie. De andere versie staat op het album
'Actual fantasy'.
Arjen deed eens een promotietour door Duitsland en had daar een fijne tijd met Gary Hughes, de zanger
van de populaire Britse band Ten. Ze deden samen zelfs een spontaan akoes- tisch live-optreden. Arjen
vindt Gary's stem best mooi en ook zal hij nooit vergeten dat Gary zangteksten schreef voor een nummer
van Thin Lizzy bij Arjen thuis.
Arjen heeft eigenlijk nooit echt gehouden van de instru- mentale kant van 'Beyond the last horizon' en
voelde eigenlijk de behoefte om het nummer eens anders te laten klinken, met een warmere benadering.
Daarom heeft Arjen in 2000 deze versie opgenomen die meer georiënteerd is op gitaren en waarbij er
een echte drummer is (Stephen van Haestregt, die ook de drums speelt op het album van Ambeon). Direct
dacht Arjen aan de stem van Gary, dus daarom stuurde Arjen de tapes snel naar Gary, die het snel weer
terugstuurde, inclusief zijn eigen zang. De gitaar solo en synthesizer solo van de oude versie zijn
gebleven, maar alle andere instru- menten zijn wel opnieuw opgenomen. Arjen is erg tevreden met het
resultaat, vandaar ook dat hij het met al zijn fans wil delen.
